Yeah, I finally got around to reading the Pit and the Pendulum, and now I'm all confused. Is it just me, or is it really anticlimatic? Grrr, now I'm all irritated. It was good, but I don't understaaand! Anyone care to explain?
hehe.. I LOVE THAT STORY! But yeah, its definitely anticlimatic mostly because the entire thing is insane. There is no mellow part to compare the crazy part to and therefor no climax, though, it doesn't make it not exciting. Its similar to the theory we studied with Haugen while reading the giver involving there being no happiness unless there is sadness to compare it to. Yeah. Chances are that made no sense, but whatever. Anyways, besides it being anticlimatic, wasn't it great!?
